A male arrested last week after he was observed masturbating near an elementary school has been arrested again for breaching his conditions.
The male was arrested last Friday after he was observed committing an indecent act near a school just outside the downtown. He was released on bail with a term to “keep the peace and be of good behaviour.”
Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Guelph Police Service officers on patrol located the male inside the ATM vestibule at a north-end bank and located suspected fentanyl next to him. He had also urinated inside the vestibule.
A 31-year-old Guelph male is further charged with possessing a controlled substance, mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with a court order. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after two males were caught on camera breaking into a downtown apartment building.
Police were called Tuesday morning to an address in the area of Norfolk Street and Commercial Street. Two males used a tool to force open the front door just before 4 a.m. then also forced their way into the laundry room, where laundry machines were damaged and coins stolen.
The first male was described as white with a medium build and wearing a red Champion hoodie, a black bandana with white fringe, dark jeans, white shoes and a black hat.
The second male was white with a slim build wearing a black sweater with ‘Ecko’ in white, a small white backpack, black hat and black gloves.

An employee reported she was working alone when a male entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded cash. He fled on foot with a small amount of cash. The employee was not physically injured.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately six feet tall with short light brown or dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt with ‘Aero 1987’ on the front, dark blue jeans, black shoes and a black face mask. He was carrying a switchblade-style knife.
