MILROY — Want to have custom shirts, engraving, primitive crafts or other stuff to express yourself? Then look no further than Krazy K’s Kreations.
The company was founded by owner Jessica Walters, who is joined by her mother Jody Weaver and fiancé James Gieza.
“The inspiration is actually I’ve been in business for a little over four years now almost five. My mom and I have been trying to get into this building for a while now,” Walters said. “Just to give Milroy something different. Obviously there are not many businesses out here that are based like this. A lot of people are up and running now and put some new businesses in and we wanted to help other small businesses out by having them come with us also.”
Krazy K’s was founded on April 29, 2019, as an online business, but Walters also wanted to be a part of the community and on
Oct. 1 her dreams became a reality as Walters opened up the shop that is now at 146 S. Main St. in Milroy.
A lot of the success Walters came in an unusual way as she had found some success because of her efforts on social media, Walters said.
“My mom and I have always wanted to have a storefront. Mine personally was I went viral on Tik Tok so we made a website,” Walters said. “I do lives in my group every Friday night which exploded. I was one of the very first people in Mifflin County that ever offered sublimation, it’s a type of printing for the T-shirts.”
“So after that I just kind of kept getting more known around Mifflin County and we just figure it been nice,” Walters continued. “We kind of wanted to make it beach vibes I guess. I know it’s not the beach but, Jersey Shore you know.”
After only being open for several weeks, it is still a feeling out process for Walters and company as they are trying to find a nice and consistent hours to help grow the shop but more importantly, give the community a chance to come visit.
Krazy K’s is open Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday evening 4 to 7 p.m., Friday evening 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. But with the coming holiday seasons, Walters expects for things to pick up.
“Once we get into the groove, we actually just got everything up and running we’ve already been open, two weekends now with a few hours through the week,” Walters said. “We’re trying to find what hours are going to be best for other people. Once we have everybody here and running our hours are going to change and we’re going to pick up more the holiday seasons and be open longer.”
Walters wants the people of Mifflin County to know, that she is looking to help make a difference in the community and is looking to inspire others to create something of their own and wants to provide a place for people to do so as well.
“Basically, my message is we just want to get people in here that are local,” Walters said. “We just want to get people in here to be able to see all the different items that people showcase in Mifflin County. Just to help other local small businesses out as well. It’s not just all about my stuff at the store.”
