'Choose Love' T-shirts raise $1 million toward community response efforts – NHL.com

Funds raised from “Choose Love” T-shirts featuring the Buffalo Sabres, Bills, and Bandits logos have reached $1 million as the community continues to rally in response to the racist mass shooting on Buffalo’s East Side.
One hundred percent of net proceeds from the T-shirts will benefit the Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund and Buffalo Together Community Response Fund.
Fans can give $25 and receive a T-shirt of their choice through Shop One Buffalo here.
The “Choose Love” T-shirt was originally worn by Bills players and staff when the team volunteered alongside members of the Bandits and Sabres earlier this month.
“There are no right words to describe what happened,” Sabres alternate captain Kyle Okposo said during that visit. “Just being here to support the community and showing the Bills guys, the Bandits, the Sabres, everybody – when you look in somebody’s eyes and you see what it does to their spirit, how much it lifts them just feeling that little bit of normalcy in a time of chaos, it’s worth every second.”
Visit Sabres.com/HelpBuffalo for more ways to help the community at this time.
