BOSTON — Red Sox players and coaches were wearing King David Ortiz T-shirts before their game here at Fenway Park on Saturday.
Ortiz will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday.
The T-shirts show Ortiz wearing a gold crown.
Manager Alex Cora also was wearing one of the shirts during his pregame press conference.

Cora doesn’t know who is responsible for getting the T-shirts made.
“Somebody put it on my chair,” Cora said, laughing and showing off the shirt. “Yeah, that guy.”
Several of Ortiz’s former teammates, including Red Sox game planning coordinator Jason Varitek, will be in Cooperstown for the ceremony Sunday.
Varitek was hesitant to take time off during a three-game series against the Blue Jays this weekend at Fenway Park.
“He fought it a little bit but I was like, ‘Nah, bro. You’ve got to go,’” Cora said Friday. “Obviously he’s the captain. He means a lot to David and those teams that David played (on) here. Having Jason there, at least from my end, I’m good with that. Let Jason go, enjoy it and he can talk about it the next day.”
Red Sox principal owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner, president Sam Kennedy, chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom, GM Brian O’Halloran, assistant GM Eddie Romero and assistant GM Raquel Ferreira all are expected to attend, according to our own Chris Cotillo who is covering the induction.
Varitek, Pedro Martinez, Johnny Damon and Dustin Pedroia are among Ortiz’s former teammates who will attend.
